One-Stroke Painting

One-Stroke Painting

Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills for students. It is a great medium for teaching multiple content areas as well. For teachers, art can be a creative and relaxing way to reduce stress and explore other interests. In this workshop participants will have fun practicing good hand-eye coordination as they learn the skills needed to effectively apply the one-stroke painting technique on various materials such as glass, fabric, and cardboard. Participants will learn to load the brush and use particular brush strokes inherent in the technique. This relaxing session is perfect for both veteran and beginning teachers!
